Bento Lunch Box Containers ~ Getting Back to School Ready

Is it that time already? I have been having a hard time this summer. My youngest child is going off to school in less than two weeks. The baby of 3 will move on and leave mommy home to work all day alone. I should be happy right? My day will be easier. Working from home will be easier! No, here I sit stressing over every little thing. My latest stress were her lunches. I needed good lunch box containers that were not going to leak, but would have easy open lids that she could handle. These Bento Lunch Boxes are my life saver!

This set comes with 7 lunch box containers. So I am covered for all 5 days of the week, plus a couple extras to send my husband to work with.

I let my husband test them out. His work fridge is usually so packed that he has to put his lunch in sideways. I figured if they didn't leak on their side for 6 hours then it was probably safe to say they would hold up for my daughter. So I sent him in with a nice full lunch including one side full of gravy. He told me that he didn't have any problems at all. Not even a tiny leak!

On top of not leaking, they are thick. They don't feel flimsy like some of the containers I have had in the past. The lid is very secure, but at the same time it is very easy to get off for myself, and my 5 year old only has to put a bit of strength behind pulling it off.

Also all off these are BPA free which sure makes me feel more comfortable about using them. To top it all off the best thing about this product is the warranty. They come with a 2 year guarantee! TWO YEARS! So that gives me some peace of mind about their ability to withstand lots of use.

Overall I think the Bento Lunch Box Containers are great! They certainly saved me a good bit of stress. I'm glad my daughter won't have to worry about them leaking out into her backpack.

ART:EGO ™ - Fuse Beads Kit - Sea World ~ Christmas Gift Ideas

School is starting back. Our summer fun comes to an end. The weekends will be our only real family time. These are the signals that Christmas is approaching. Every year I don't know if I should be excited or if I should feel sad. With three children to buy Christmas for I have to get an early start. I usually start in July. My first Christmas gift I bought this year was a cute Art :EGO fuse bead set for my 5 year old daughter.

I don't know if you have heard of fuse beads, but if you haven't I will tell you about them. When I was almost 15 I went into foster care. My first placement was in a group home. An underfunded, understaffed group home. A place where the big kids ended up being responsible for the younger kids. We played with them to keep them out of the staff's way. Well that first placement had these fuse beads, and I may have been a teen, but these fuse beads were one of my favorite things to do with the kids.

Then when my daughter was 3 I was getting sick. I had just been diagnosed with Lupus. I found a good sitter for my daughter to stay with while I went to doctor's appointments. On the first day with the sitter my daughter made an adorable mouse fuse bead. She was so excited about it. So that was the day that fuse beads became a favorite activity with my daughter and I.

You use these little peg boards shaped like animals. You add the beads to the board, cover it in a wax type paper, then you iron it. The heat molds them together so that they stay in whatever shape of the peg board. You create your own little animals.

This is a super great present for any young child. They come in many different sets, but this great Art:EGO fuse bead set was of water creatures, which happen to be all of my daughter's favorite animals. This is a great set. I personally love it! It comes with 6000 beads, peg board, patterns, tweezers, and the ironing paper. To top it all off and make it even better the plastic is food grade plastic. Which means I don't have to worry about dangerous chemicals in the plastic.

Overall I am very happy with this set! If you want to get your own Art:EGO fuse bead set you can find it here.

Quality Seat Covers ~ Leader Accessories Universal 11 Piece Seat Covers

Why should I be excited about getting the Leader Accessories Universal seat covers for my van? Well one year ago next month I told my husband we would never buy another vehicle unless we had cash. I was to a point where I could no longer justify spending $400 on a car payment and another $100 on full coverage insurance. It was ridiculous.

We live in a rural county in a rural state. A house payment is less than the cost of paying off a car! So when February of this year came along and we were talking about buying another car one thing was for sure. I wasn't going to be buying anything unless we could pay cash for it! So I finally found a mini van that had low mileage and was in good shape on the outside.  So of course there was a catch. The van had been used as a work vehicle. The inside was no where near the clean I was wanting.

So we bought the van. A week later I left it with one of the best car detailers in our area. He worked on my van for hours, and it still didn't come out nicely. It was a bit of a disappointment. So this is why seat covers are something worth getting me excited!

Leader Accessories Universal 11 Piece Seat Covers

Installing these looked confusing at first. When I looked at them and saw all the straps I thought I was in for trouble. Those straps though were a life saver! The back bench seat along with the front seats come in top and bottom sections. This way you don't have to spend an hour installing one seat cover.

The bench seats come with straps that go under the seat. That way no matter how rough the kids get the bench seat cover will stay in it's place. It also has zippers to make room for seat buckles and for the safety straps for my daughters car seat.

The installation took about 30 minutes for us to do together. Though I admit we spent probably 10 of those minutes cleaning the crumbs from under the car seat. So all in all these were great seat covers, and one thing is for sure they look a lot better than my seats looked before!

If you are looking for a good quality set of seat covers you can buy your own Leader Accessories Universal Seat Covers  here.

Leader Accessories Pintail Complete Longboard Review

I was very happy about the opportunity to review the Leader Accessories Pintail Complete Longboard. Both of my sons have been skateboarding for a couple of years now. My oldest who is 12 decided he preferred a longboard over a regular skateboard. So this was a great opportunity to try out something he would like.

Leader Accessories Pintail Complete LongBoard Description

  • Pintail Complete Longboard
  • Size: 40"X 9"
  • 8 ply maple laminated deck
  • 7" heavy duty aluminum truck
  • 71 X 52mm PU wheels
  • Abec-7 bearings with high-speed lubricant
  • Fully assembled and ready to ride.

My Review

This longboard is ready to go when you get it. When my son first stepped on it he immediately said it was too tight. He got the wrench and loosened it up. Then it was perfect. He tried it on our old asphalt road, and he was greatly surprised about how smooth it was. Out road is rough, so he was expecting what some of the other boards had done. However he said this was the smoothest he had ever felt our old road.

The green color is bright, but it has beautiful maple wood look to it. The wheels on this board are white, which will just end up dirty, but hey they looked nice!

Overall this is an awesome board. My son is already googling upgrades for it so that he can be ready when the wheels wear out. I have nothing bad to say about this board. My son likes it and it is very fairly priced. So I would recommend it to anyone who was looking for a quality longboard for themselves or their child.

If you would to get your own they come in several colors. You can find your own Leader Accessories Pintail Complete Longboard here.

I Got My Homophobia Is A Social Disease T Shirt!

Ahh yes. I try sometimes to stay away from my personal opinions. I don't much like starting arguments. However in the recent months I have had it up to my ears with homophobic people.

Let me start with saying I am a Bi Sexual 33 year old woman who is in a heterosexual marriage. Just because I married a man though, does not make me less Bi Sexual. I have been attracted to females and males my whole life. I didn't choose to be attracted to women, I just was.

I remember being a preteen and having a huge crush on TLC's Left Eye (RIP). When I started seeing the phrase Homosexuality is a social disease I was infuriated. The idea of implying people just choose to be attracted to the same sex is as silly as saying people choose to be straight! So when I was given the opportunity to try out this shirt I was very excited!

See I live in the South. Not only do I live in the south, but I also live in a small town. I don't know what it is about these small southern towns, but there are some of the most homophobic people I have ever seen.  So what's better than a shirt to make them see where I stand on the issue?

Not only was I excited about the words, but the color is one of my favorite colors also. In this state the Carolina Gamecocks are a pretty important college football team, and all of my shirts for them are also this color. So I was happy with it.

The size was exactly what I was expecting. So when you order from this company you know what you are getting. No having your shirt show up just for it too be way too small because it was sized in another country.

It feels durable, and after washing per the instructions it did NOT shrink! The best thing about this shirt is not the color, the material, or it's durability. The BEST part of this shirt are the words. I love watching the people around here read it. Either they look up at me with a smile, or their homophobic selves are disgusted with it and it shows!

I am loving everything about it! I wish I had one in every color because I would wear them all the time just to watch people's reactions!

Get yourself one today here because Homophobia IS a Social Disease!

Excuse the lack of makeup and my hair looking a mess!

Cutie Reusable Food Pouches

Why Cutie Reusable Food Pouches?

Source:CutieLand

A few years ago these type food pouches started popping up in stores. They usually have either a fruit puree or a fruit veggie mix puree in them for kids to easily suck down something healthy. Well I love the concept. What I don't love is not knowing how fresh the product inside is.

We are gardeners. We currently are growing over 30 fruits and veggie varieties here at home. In the summer months I am overloaded with things like blackberries, watermelons, cantaloupes, cucumbers, and squash. So I had been thinking of things I could do with the excess to help my kids put all of it to good use.

Personally I like making my kids healthy food at home. Even though my children aren't babies anymore at 12,10, and 5 all of them still enjoy fruit pouches. So when I saw the opportunity to try out some Cutie reusable pouches at a discount in exchange for my honest review I immediately jumped on the opportunity!

Filling Cutie Reusable Food Pouches

If you are filling with refrigerator items you can fill all the way up. It is super easy and fast.
  • Put the lid on
  • Open the bottom
  • Fill to your desired fullness
  • Seal the bottom
  • Refrigerate
If you are filling with something that you plan to freeze, only fill 3/4 of the way. This way your ingredients have room to expand.

Cleaning Cutie Reusable Food Pouches

When your child is done with their cutie food pouch simply open the bottom and place on the top rack of the dishwasher. If you are like me, and YOU are the dishwasher, no worries because it is easy. Just take the lid off, open the bottom, and clean the inside. It is all very simple. Nothing about this product makes them hard to use!

Awesome Silicone Gloves For Cooking

Anything cooking? YES please! What is it about silicone that makes me drawn to it like a cat to a fish tank? Well it's shiny and soft, and flexible, and well I just like how it looks! It really doesn't matter if it is a silicone cookie sheet or a silicone nose ring, I'm drawn in!

Yes I'm weird. Yes I am okay with that! :) So I had been looking for a good set of silicone gloves for cooking. Mostly because I hate how nasty pot holders get and how gross I feel putting my hand in the soft glove. I know I have been lazy and not thrown them in the washing machine nearly enough. So I am basically sticking a bacteria covered mess on my hand and on my food. Then I feel bad for being lazy. In my defense I am a mom of 3 who is busy, but still I wanted a way to get rid of the hassle!

So I was a bit nervous about these even though I loved how they looked. I tried them out the other night when I was making stuffed bell peppers. The garden is getting big and I am having to find ways to put to use the stuff we are growing.

I was amazed at how well they worked! Even though my oven was at 400 degrees, all I felt was some mild warmth when I pulled them out the oven. Yay! When I was done I just put dawn on my gloved hands and washed my 'hands' with the gloves on.

No more having to remember to grab these when I am washing clothes. Nope! Just wash my hands when I am done and I am good to go! I really love these. I think they are a great addition to my kitchen. If you want some you can order some here.
